Class airfare

Pretty funny post from my friend, Laura Belgray.

Astute observations about moneyed (or not) hierarchies.

(and even sadder is that I have been in business class when a steward and passengers made fun of those in coach. flying business/first can turn you into a regular lindsay lohan)

  1. Hey, thanks for the link! I didn't mention in the post that on the outbound flight of our last biz class trip, the attendant got in a flight with someone from coach, who wanted help putting her bag up in the overhead. The attendant said, "We're not legally allowed to touch your bags."
Passenger: "Really. There's a law that you can't help a passenger who needs help with their luggage."
Attendant: "That's right. And if you have a problem with it, you can get off this plane."
The coach passenger went back to look for help from other passengers, and the attendant shook her head and rolled her eyes, inviting us biz class passenger to join her in her disdain. I didn't join in. I'm a snob, but I don't approve of her being a snob. That's wrong.
