We've moved!

The Style of Elements is going to take a slight turn and focus solely on product design. It will still be about what catches my eye…so either the posts will be about objects that make me happy or just plain ol’ piss me off.

I will examine the things that touch our lives, weigh their merits and successes, faults and failures. Wherever possible I will find a deeper story, something to contextualize the object with something that gives it meaning, keeping in mind that elements are still only a part of a larger whole. I hope, that no matter what the posts will be more than informational, they will be entertaining.

Mailbox Wars

Recently our mailbox out at the humble cottage has been a victim of some high school miscreants/hooligans/ne'er-do-wells. They took out one mailbox






and we promptly replaced it. And they promptly took it out. So we left it as it was and named it the Gehry mailbox. But either the weather has taken a toll or the future jailbirds are slowly clubbing it to death.






So now we have to creatively thwart the entertainment-challenged reprobates. First thought is to fill the new mailbox halfway with bricks; with the hope that the bat wielder will bruise a hand.







I know we are asking for an M-80 retaliation. Will keep ya posted. Please feel free to offer suggestions. Just not the mailbox version of a mini-van.
